Our Story

HOAredesign began with a simple observation: most HOA failures are neither random nor unique. They repeat because HOAs are built on governance structures and incentives that predictably break down. This project applies systems thinking, analysis, and real-world experience to understand those failures—and to design practical corrections.

We Are

  • Independent and homeowner-focused

  • Analytical, not advocacy-driven

  • Concerned with structure, incentives, and outcomes

  • Clear about limits and realistic solutions

We Believe

  • HOA problems are primarily systemic

  • Governance design shapes behavior

  • Transparency and structure matter more than intent

  • Most failures can be anticipated and diagnosed

We Are Not

  • Part of the HOA service industry

  • A complaint intake platform

  • A legal services provider

  • A political or legislative advocacy group

We Do Not Believe

  • That more laws alone fix broken HOAs

  • That replacing individuals fixes broken systems

  • That venting leads to solutions

  • That one-size-fits-all answers exist
